The public monthly pricing page checked on August 12, 2026 listed Free at $0, Plus at $15, Pro at $30, and Scale at $75, with 1,000, 20,000, 45,000, and 100,000 included text-to-speech words. The same page conflicts on the Plus voice-clone allowance: the plan card says two, while the comparison table says three. Treat the exact allowance as unresolved.
The authenticated plan comparison checked August 13 repeated that Plus conflict. It also confirmed that the Free account can expose the real interface before purchase, including Quick Text to Speech, Studio handoff, the stock voice library, projects, cloning, pronunciation navigation, and usage tracking.
Best potential fit: creators and teams who value block-level revisions and long-form organization more than a one-shot text-to-speech box.

What is Narration Box?
Narration Box combines text-to-speech generation, voice cloning, and audiobook-oriented production in a web platform. The public Studio page describes projects built from blocks rather than one long text field. Each block can have its own narrator and delivery, and blocks can be reordered or regenerated independently.
The platform says users can paste text, import a webpage, or upload supported documents. Current public materials show URL import, DOCX, PDF, and an EPUB-oriented audiobook path.
Narration Box markets more than 1,500 narrators across more than 80 languages and accents. It also describes multilingual voice-clone support in more than 20 languages. The authenticated Enbee V2 library showed 30 multilingual stock voices, each with a short use-case-oriented style instruction. Those observations indicate breadth; they do not prove that every voice-language-accent combination will suit a project.
The Studio lists MP3, WAV, Opus, FLAC, and OGG exports, either as one file or split by blocks. Exact sample rate, bit depth, bitrate, channel format, metadata, and loudness still need inspection from real files generated in the intended account.

Free lists 1,000 words, one clone, five projects, watermarking, low-quality output, and MP3-only export. The authenticated comparison table describes low quality as 8 kHz, 16-bit and also lists one large-document upload, one URL fetch, and 1 GB of storage. Use it to learn the interface and shortlist voices, not as evidence of paid-plan technical quality.
Plus and Pro
Plus lists 20,000 words, 50 projects, high-quality exports, and five formats. Its unresolved clone count matters; do not choose it because of a specific entitlement until the account or Narration Box confirms it.
Pro lists 45,000 words, six clones, unlimited projects and document uploads, high-quality exports, 50 GB of storage, and five formats. It is the logical comparison for a creator producing narration regularly.
A useful cost estimate must include revisions. A 10,000-word final script can consume substantially more than 10,000 generated words while voices, pronunciation, pacing, and changed passages are tested.
Scale and pay per book
Scale lists 100,000 words, 15 clones, 200 GB of storage, and additional words at $10 per 10,000 words with a 10,000-word minimum. Its card marked additional team members, commenting, and team management as Coming Soon, so treat it as a volume plan until those controls are live.
Narration Box also promotes custom pay-per-book pricing. A written quote should define revision allowances, delivery format, mastering, narrator or clone rights, support, refund terms, and what happens if a distributor rejects the files.
Studio and editing workflow
The most persuasive documented feature is editable blocks. A block can map to a scene, slide, lesson, chapter, shot group, or revision unit. Narration Box says each block can use a distinct narrator, language, accent, delivery, and supported style or expression instructions.
Selective regeneration could reduce rework. The production question is continuity: does a replacement passage match the tone, pace, loudness, ambience, and cadence of its neighbors?
A useful trial should test whether one line can be regenerated without changing accepted blocks, whether pronunciation rules apply at the expected scope, whether long projects remain responsive, and whether one-file and split-block exports use predictable names and ordering.
Narration Box describes custom pronunciation using substitution or phoneme rules. The authenticated account states that this dictionary applies to Enbee V1 voices only; Enbee V2 and cloned voices currently ignore it. That is a meaningful scope limit for names, brands, acronyms, technical terms, and multilingual projects.
In the authenticated Free account, Quick Text to Speech exposed separate style instructions, inline expression cues, Enbee V1 and Enbee V2 selection, a 100-word script limit, stock-narrator selection, Studio handoff, regeneration, and MP3 download controls. The account displayed 55 of 1,000 words used after a 55-word preview was present, which is consistent with generation counting against the plan quota. That observation does not establish how failed generations, auditions, or block-level revisions are deducted.
Opening that preview in Studio created a project with the script and style instructions preserved in one block. The authenticated Studio exposed add-block, timeline, sharing, export, project-usage, and generation controls, and the account balance remained at 55 words before another generation. I did not generate another take, share the project, or start an export from that project.
Voices, languages, and voice cloning
Catalog size is useful for shortlisting, but listening tests matter more. Use the same representative script across candidates and include conversation, a proper name, an acronym, a number, a date, a quotation, a tonal shift, and a long paragraph.
Evaluate intelligibility, pacing, emphasis, fatigue, artifacts, and consistency—not only whether the opening sentence sounds natural.
Narration Box offers approved voice cloning. Its current official materials still conflict: the marketing page promises a clone in ten seconds and shows a 30–60 second upload control, while the April 12, 2026 Help Center instructions specify a 10-second minimum, a 180-second optimum, and a 300-second maximum. Treat those as different timing and sample-duration claims, and follow the current authenticated upload requirement rather than promising one number.
Clone only your own voice or one covered by explicit, verifiable permission. For client work, retain the consent record and define allowed content, channels, languages, territory, duration, editing rights, retention, revocation, and reuse after the engagement.
Audiobooks and distribution limits
Narration Box has a dedicated audiobook workflow with chapter organization, manuscript or document import, narrator assignment, block-level revision, pronunciation control, multi-narrator work, and MP3 or WAV export.
Those features can help produce audiobook audio. They do not establish that ACX, Audible, Apple Books, Spotify, or another distributor will accept a title narrated with a third-party AI system.
Current ACX requirements say an audiobook must be narrated by a human unless otherwise authorized and prohibit unauthorized text-to-speech or automated recordings. ACX separately operates limited Voice Replica programs through its own authorized process. That does not authorize a Narration Box clone or export.
Verify two separate questions before producing a full book:
- Do the files meet the distributor's current technical specifications?
- Does the distributor explicitly authorize this narration method for this title?
Meeting technical specifications does not answer the authorization question.
Commercial use, ownership, and privacy
Narration Box presents paid commercial use as supported, and its pay-per-book page says commercial usage rights are included. Its About page says generated output carries commercial rights without attribution, while its Ethics page says attribution can depend on use case or subscription tier. Confirm the applicable plan, voice, use case, and attribution obligation before release.
The current Privacy Policy and Terms say customer text, audio, recordings, cloned voices, manuscripts, audiobooks, and generated projects are not used to train Narration Box proprietary models. They also allow authorized subprocessors to handle data needed to provide the service.
The Terms describe deletion or anonymization from active systems within 30 days after termination or a written request, while encrypted backup copies may remain for up to 90 days. Confirm how that applies to projects, documents, samples, generated audio, clones, analytics, and support records before uploading confidential material.
Monthly included words expire at the end of a billing cycle; separately purchased words roll over. The Help Center says the Usage dashboard reports words used, generated minutes, and storage for the current billing cycle. It also says deleting a voice clone does not restore that month's clone quota. Current refund language includes timing, usage, and clone-provisioning conditions, so recheck the live Terms and checkout before buying.
What to test before paying
Use original text you have the right to upload. A representative pre-purchase test should:
- Generate the same 60–90 second script with at least three stock voices.
- Include names, acronyms, numbers, dates, quotations, and a tonal shift.
- Save one pronunciation rule and confirm its scope.
- Change one sentence and regenerate only that block.
- Compare the replacement with accepted blocks before and after it.
- Import text by paste and by one supported document format.
- Build a multi-section project long enough to expose navigation or consistency issues.
- Export every format visible in the account and inspect the files.
- Record word deductions for auditions, alternates, failures, and revisions.
- Contact support with one real entitlement or licensing question.

Record the date, plan, browser, operating system, voice and model names, script, settings, generation time, balance before and after, errors, retries, export properties, and listening notes.

Narration Box has a credible product shape for long-form and modular narration. Block-level editing, selective regeneration, document import, pronunciation tools, multilingual voices, approved cloning, chapter organization, and several export formats address real production problems.
The public pricing is easy to understand at first glance. Free is an evaluation tier; Plus and Pro are the main solo-creator comparison; Scale adds volume but should not be purchased for collaboration controls still marked Coming Soon; and pay per book may suit a defined publishing project.
The unresolved details prevent a stronger recommendation today. The authenticated account confirms that Free is a practical interface trial and exposes the advertised basic quota and workflow, but Plus still has a clone-count conflict. Attribution and commercial-use wording need plan-level confirmation. Voice-clone sample claims are inconsistent. Audiobook production must not be confused with distributor authorization. Voice quality, revision continuity, export-file properties, long-form behavior, and support responsiveness still need a documented independent test.
The current guidance is to use Free to inspect the workflow, compare Plus and Pro after estimating revision usage, and treat Scale as a volume tier until collaboration features are confirmed live.
